Notice on the Renewal of Accommodation Reservation for International Students
Dear International Student,
Hello! By the policy of our university, international students living in on-campus dormitory who want to keep the room for the upcoming Summer Session, Summer Vacation of 2018 and Fall Semester of 2018-2019are required to renew the reservation online. Only student whose date of graduation (or ending study in SJTU) is later than Sep.10th, 2018 is qualified to make this renewal of reservation. The information in detail is as follows.
1. The Renewal of Reservation
(1)Time Period of Reservation: This renewal of accommodation reservation is composed of two stages. You can choose only one of the two stages to make the reservation. Therefore, you are not allowed to renew in the Stage 2 if you already renew the reservation successfully in Stage 1. In Stage 1, you are allowed to reserve the room that you are living in now only. In Stage 2, you are allowed to choose and reserve all available rooms in the list of system.
Stage 1: 9:00 am, Jun.5th to 16:30 pm, Jun.6th, 2018
Stage 2: 9:00 am, Jun.7th to 16:30 pm, Jun.8th, 2018

(4) Password: The last six digits or letters of your passport number (From left to right, for example, if your passport number is AK5123B4, and then your password is 5123B4. If your passport number is less than six digits or letters, then add 0 before the first digit of number until the number is six digits or letters, for example, if your passport number is 1236, and then your password is 001236)
(5) Please refer the Renewal Procedures (Stage 1), the Reservation Procedures (Stage 2) and help document on the website for the detailed information on the reservation.
2. Payment Introductions
You should finish your payment online to renew your reservation. Some suggestions are listed as follow:
a. You are required to pay the full amount of the accommodation fee when you renew the reservation. The renewal shall NOT be valid unless the fee is paid fully and successfully. The accommodation subsidy (covering 5months) for the scholarship-funded students will be offered prior to this renewal of accommodation reservation. You could contact International Student Center (021-34203847) if you have any questions regarding with the subsidy.
b. The online payment should be completed within12 hours after confirming the reservation, or the system will cancel your reservation automatically.
c. You are required to bear one or more bank cards with logo such like Union Pay, Master, Visa, JCB, American Express and etc. Moreover, you should ensure the function of online payment of your bank card works and your credit card has the sufficient balance. You are allowed use only one bank card to finish payment.
d. Some extra commission fee will be charged by the bank if you finish payment by the bank if you finish payment by the international credit card (Master, Visa, JCB, American Express and etc.). Therefore you are recommended to pay by the Union Pay card to avoid the extra commission fee.
e. You are recommended to use Internet Explorer to make renewal of reservation and pay the accommodation fee. You could refresh the webpage or change other web explorer in case of webpage errors.
f. After finishing the payment, please wait patiently until the success webpage pops up. You should click “My Account” to confirm the completed order with a successful payment.
3. Other important information
(1)The student who doesn’t renew the reservation for the Summer Session should move out from the room before July 1st, 2018 whose personal belongings are not allowed to be left in the room. The student in Xuhui campus with the successful reservation for the Summer Session of 2018, Fall Semester of 2018-2019 and changes the room should move in the new room between July 1st -5th, 2018. Further notice for student in Minhang campus will be announced later.
(2)According to the policy, sophomore in Antai College of Economics and Management, the School of International and Public Affairs and Koguan Law School will move to Xuhui campus in next semester, and these students who are living in dormitories on Minhang campus should reserve rooms on Xuhui campus in the SECOND STAGE. Please do not hesitate to come to Room B204, New Administration Building to consult before June 4th if you have any questions.
(3) You are allowed to move into the dorm up to 3 days prior to the registration date of Fall Semester, thus after Sep. 6th, 2018 if you have a successful reservation. You should be responsible for the housing by yourself if you arrive earlier than Sep. 7th, 2018. The reservation is valid until Sep. 16th, 2018 for the Fall Semester of 2018-2019 and will be cancelled automatically in case that you don’t check in after that time. You should submit an application to related department if you are not able to register on time.
(4) You will be arranged into a similar room by ISSC in case of the room you reserved with some special situations.
(5)You are suggested to renew your reservation as early as possible, or you could be NOT allowed to move into the dormitory in upcoming Summer Session, Summer Vacation of 2018or Fall Semester of 2018-2019.
(6) By the policy, the student with successful reservation is not allowed to change to another room except for some special cases. Please take care of living habits if you would like to choose a double room with a roommate.
(7)Special Notice for Xuhui Campus: According to the arrangement of the university, No. 9 Dorm Building are NOT offering housing for international students from July of 2018 and the current residents of No. 9 Dorm Building could choose other room types on campus or off-campus housing (the detailed info will be published to the current residents of No. 9 Building).
(8)You could look up more information about on-campus accommodation on the reservation webpage. The participation of renewal of reservation indicates you are fully aware of and accept this notice and all accommodation regulations and policies of SJTU and you are required to sign a housing contract with SJTU when you check in. If you have any questions, please contact International Student Service Center.
(9)According to the arrangement of university, No.12 dorm building will be renewed from July to August. Students cannot reserve rooms in No.12 dorm building for summer session and summer vacation. We will provide rooms for students who remain on campus during the summer session and summer vacation. Further notice will be announced in mid-June, please pay attention.
(10)Student in Chinese temporary dormitory X67 / X68 cannot renew in Stage 1, but you can reserve available room on campus in Stage 2 for Fall semester. Further notice on moving out temporary dormitory will be announced in late June, please pay attention.
