Notice for Shanghai Government Scholarship
With the latest notice of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, stipend criteria for Shanghai Government Scholarship are adjusted as below.
1 Shanghai Government Scholarship (Type A):
PhD : Rise from 2000RMB/month to 3500RMB/month;
Master: Rise from 1700RMB/month to 3000RMB/month;
Bachelor: Rise from 1400RMB/month to 2500RMB/month.
※The new criteria are valid from January 1st, 2015. The students enrolled before that date will receive supplementary of 10 months (from 01/2015 to 10/2015)in November. New students from September will receive supplementary of 2 months (09/2015&10/2015).
From November 2015, all of the scholarship stipends will be granted by the new criteria. Please check your bank account accordingly.
※Reminding: For Shanghai Government A PhD scholarship students (enrolled in 2014), from September, 2014 to October, 2015 SJTU has already prepaid extra 1000 yuan/month compared with the old standard, after carrying out the newly issued subsidizing standard, SJTU will reissue the remaining part, from January, 2015 to October, 2015, 500 yuan/month,10months, 5000 yuan in total. And for the prepaid money from September, 2014 to December, 2014 is not required to withdraw any more.
2 Shanghai Government Scholarship (Type B):
From September 2015, textbooks fee is not provided any longer and be replaced with comprehensive medical insurance, purchased by the university with the criterion of 800RMB/year.
