‘You were heard’, International Student Representatives Meeting Held by ISC, SJTU
In order to optimize the management of international students and promote the construction of international students supportive service system, International Student Centre organized two sessions of undergraduate international student representatives meetings on 24th , November and 6th, December, 2017 in New Administration Building B821. Student representatives from 13 nationalities and 12 majors discussed with the staff rom the Academic Office and ISSU effectively, problems and difficulties encountered by students during their study and daily life were well-heard and answered.
First of all, International Student Center analyzes the key points of revised version of undergraduate student handbook. International Students Service Center focused on the international student study counseling program and accommodation related issues, and pointed out that students should pay attention to "Study Abroad" website, WeChat and etc., which important notices will be regularly published.
During the free talk part, international student representatives discussed enthusiastically, and made many suggestions and opinions of accommodation, course selection, internship visa, insurance and other issues, which were carefully recorded by related departments. Meanwhile, freshmen consulted with senior grade students about Chinese learning and course studying.
International Student Centre will hold various kinds of students meeting regularly, voices from international students will be heard decently, ideas and comments are welcomed as well, which enhancing the construction of international students supportive service system and management, ISC intends to make all the international students enjoy their study and life in SJTU from the start to graduation.
