SJTU will be Open for 2016 International Postgraduates Admission
On 19th November afternoon, SJTU hosted a meeting regarding the International Postgraduates Admission in Chen Ruiqiu Building . Assistant Dean of the Graduate School Shengrong YANG, Dean Assistant Lingti KONG, International Student Center, International Students Service Center and other related-teachers from the International Postgraduates Admission Office attended the meeting .
Rongsheng Yang emphasized that the international education for postgraduates is the significant part for international strategy of SJTU. Expanding the scale, developing the quality, optimizing the process and improving the management is the criterion of enrollment. The work for 2016 International Postgraduates Admission must strength the session of quality control on the basic of guaranteeing both of the number of enrollment and quality of students, especially for international doctoral candidate. If you cannot attend the face-to-face interview due to some reasons, we can fully use the modern technology tools to implement the video interview or audio interview. In the terms of the assessment of scholarship, the rank of applicant’s graduate school or academic filed should be mainly considered.
International Affairs Office Graduate School briefly introduced the situation of SJTU International Postgraduates Admission from 2010 to 2015, illustrating the recruit policy for international postgraduates in 2016, award system and specific arrangements. SJTU international postgraduates rose steadily since 2010.
International Student Center briefly introduced the system for scholarship online- sign and emphasized the sign for scholarship students. The International Services Center emphasized that the oversea students should buy the insurance.
After the meeting, the teacher from each Educational Administration discussed and asked the detail of 2016 International Postgraduates Admission. The graduate school will furtherly enhance the detail of enrollment and the system for quality control based on the suggestion given at the meeting.
