Dear International Student,
Hello! By the policy of our university, international students living in on-campus dormitory who want to keep the room for the coming winter vacation or spring semester of 2015-16 are required to renew the reservation online. Only student whose date of graduation (or ending study in SJTU) is later than Feb.22nd, 2016 is qualified to join this renewal of reservation.
In order to ensure everyone on campus has the equal opportunity, you are allowed to choose the current room you live in or other available rooms in the reservation system during the entire online reservation period. The student willing to keep your current room is specially suggested to book the room as early as possible after the reservation starts and you have to change the room or move to off-campus if your current room is booked by any other one. So all students involved in this reservation are strongly advised to log in and book the room as soon as possible when reservation kicks off. The information in detail is as follows.
1. The Renewal of Reservation
(1)Time Period of Reservation: 12:00, Dec14th to 16:00, Dec 16th, 2016
(2)Website: http://dorm.sjtu.edu.cn
(3) User name: Student ID
(4) Password: The last six digits or letters of your passport number (From left to right, for example, if your passport number is AK5123B4, and then your password is 5123B4. If your passport number is less than six digits or letters, then add 0 before the first digit of number until the number is six digits or letters, for example, if your passport number is 1236, and then your password is 001236)
(5)Reservation Procedure
a. Use your user name and password to login your account
b. Click the button “我要续订(I want to renew)” on the left page
c. Select your reservation period →Select the building →Select the room →Confirm your reservation
Webpage will be redirected to the Online Payment System of SJTU automatically after confirming.
d. Pay accommodation fee. (See details in Payment Introductions)
e. Finish the renewal of reservation
2. Payment Introductions
You should finish your payment online to renew your reservation. Some suggestions are listed as follow:
a. You are required to pay the full amount of the accommodation fee when you renew the reservation. The renewal shall NOT be valid unless the fee is paid fully and successfully.
b. The online payment should be completed within 48 hours after confirming the reservation, or the system will cancel your reservation automatically.
c. You are required to bear one or more bank cards with logo such like Union Pay, Master, Visa, JCB, American Express and etc. Moreover, you should ensure the function of online payment of your bank card works and your credit card has the sufficient balance. You are allowed use only one bank card to finish payment.
d.Some extra commission fee will be chargedby the bank if you finish payment by the bank if you finish payment by the international credit card (Master, Visa, JCB, American Express and etc.). Therefore you are recommended to pay by the Union Pay card to avoid the extra commission fee.
e. You are recommended to use Internet Explorer to make renewal of reservation and pay the accommodation fee. You could refresh the webpage or change other web explorer in case of webpage errors.
f.After finishing the payment, you should click “Booking record” on the left side of webpage to confirm if your renewal of reservation is successful.
3. Other important information
(1)The student who doesn’t renew the reservation for the summer session should move out from the room before Jan17th, 2016 whose personal belongings are not allowed to be left in the room.
(2)The student who renews the reservation for the winter vacation or spring semester of 2016 and changes the room should move in the new room beforeJan22nd, 2016.
(3)The reservation is valid until Mar. 6th of 2016 for the spring semester of 2016 and will be cancelled automatically in case that you don’t check in after that time. You should submit an application to related department if you are not able to register on time.
(4)You could look up more information about on-campus accommodation on the reservation webpage. A successful renewal of reservation indicates you are aware of and agree all accommodation regulations and policies of SJTU and you are required to sign a housing contract with SJTU when you check in.
(5)You are suggested to renew your reservation as early as possible, or you could be NOT allowed to move into the dormitory in the coming winter vacation or spring semester of 2016.
(6) Please take care of religious issue if you would like to choose a double room with a roommate.
(7)The accommodation fee for the vacation and summer session will be charged according to the official rate from 2016 (Including Xuhui and Minhang Campus).
