Company Visit to Shanghai Innovation Centre of PwC

April 5, 2017, 15 international students participated in the company visit to Shanghai Innovation Centre of PwC under the organization of the International Office of ACEM.

Shanghai Innovation Centre is located in Xintiandi Shanghai, as the official start of the Alliance of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation (ASSTI) initiated by PwC. The Centre is committed to providing space for innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as building up an innovative platform for communication and sharing.

Charlene Liu, Administration Manager of the Shanghai Innovation Center provided a comprehensive introduction about the five functional areas of the Center: Incubator, Emerging Tech Lab, Catalyst Workshop (Sandbox), Experience Centre, and Video and Creativity Centre.

During the Q&A session, Charlene Liu shared his 12 years' career experience as a foreigner working in China, and explained how PwC uses its advantage of global networks and expertise to provide startups with policy support, helps with fundraising, coaching and other essential services.

The company visit is among the spectrum of activities that the International Office of ACEM organizes to help international students establish a better understanding in China’s business reality and maintain their advantages in China’s job market. Other activities include career counseling, career workshop, internship remark service, and internship and job fair on a regular basis.
